Project: Leighwood (in progress)
This is a new build development consisting of 2 new houses on a current barren land.
The client brief included maintaining the look of the street and yet having a contemporary design. The client especially wanted a lot of glass to flood light inside the property.
A contemporary continuation of the existing row of semi-detached properties is proposed in modern materials such as anti-crack external render, Staffordshire blue bricks, grey slate roof tiles and ridges, zinc fascias and aluminum powder coated windows and doors. The double height glazed window in the front elevation provides a striking character to the property. The planning department were very supportive of the design and no objection were received by adjoining properties.
