New City

This is a new build developer driven project consisting of 2 new houses to replace an existing post war house on the site and some dilapidated garages. The site is a challenging triangular shape set within a dense context of adjoining houses and gardens, particularly to the rear.

A contemporary continuation of the existing terrace is proposed in modern materials such as coloured ant-crack external render, Iroko hardwood cladding, Zinc roofing and black aluminium windows. The existing terrace lines end in a striking double height feature window which dominates the side elevation and forms an interesting conclusion to the existing terrace. The planning department were very supportive of this design and no objections were received by adjoining properties.
